Safe Families

The Power of Community
Safe Families for Children is a volunteer movement, made up of local Christian families and churches in our community, who desire to help families in crisis and keep kids out of the Foster Care system.

What We Do
As individuals and families, we practice "biblical hospitality" by opening our homes to children, offering them a safe, temporary place while their parent(s) cope with issues like illness, unemployment, homelessness, addiction, domestic violence or other crisis.

By extending hospitality to children in crisis, our homes become a "safe place" and we temporarily become their "safe family." Safe Families for Children returns the church to its historic role of caring for orphans and widows. Parents retain custody of their children. We are just assisting them for a short time.
