One of the best ways of getting connected and plugged in at New Story Church is to join a serving team. It takes the whole village to make happen what we do week in and week out - and we'd love to have you on our team!

Sunday Morning
Children's Ministry
We currently offer Sunday School at our 10:45am service but in the Fall we would like to offer it at both services. In order for this to happen we need teachers or assistants for our infants to 5th grade classes. These volunteers love on our kids, keep them safe and teach them about Jesus. No bible degree required, just a heart for kids. Questions? Contact Betsey.
Safety Team
Our Safety Team ensures our kids are safe and the building is secure during Sunday morning services. These volunteers wander the halls during the service, providing peace of mind so everyone can worship in freedom. Questions or more info? Contact Dave.
Middle School Ministry
We need youth volunteers to teach Sunday School to Middle Schoolers on Sunday mornings in both services. We are also looking for volunteers for our Middle School and High School youth groups that meet at various times during the week. Questions or want more info? Contact Ben.
AV & Tech Crew
This team sets up the lights, sound, video, slides and stage to help Sunday mornings look and sound its best every week. Questions or more info? Contact Clint.
Welcome Team
The Welcome Team helps create a friendly and inviting environment each Sunday. If you like to make people feel welcome at GVF, this is the team for you! Questions or want more info? Contact Hannah.
Photography & Social Team
Our photography team helps capture the essence of Sunday mornings and events by taking effortless lifestyle photos and/or contributing to our online presence in a way that makes our ministries shine. Questions or more info? Contact Kate.
Coffee Team
The Coffee Team gets people ready to worship and socialize on a Sunday morning. They ensure the coffee is hot and fresh before each service. If you like to serve from behind the scenes, this is the team for you. Questions or more info? Contact Contact Lauren.

Garden Gurus
Lamplighters
Season ends 9/13/22 . We will resume in Spring. Do you have a passion for gardening? Do you find weeding to be a very zen activity? Would you like to see our church grounds look beautiful? Join Catherine Galanes at church on Tuesday evenings from 4pm until dark to help us weed, trim, plant or whatever needs to be done and stay for as long as you like. This is an ideal opportunity to invite a non-churched friend to work alongside you and discover that church people are not so scary!

Lamplighters is a monthly luncheon and program for over 55’s that happens on the 3rd Thursday of the month. This ministry is looking for volunteers to help serve on these Thursday mornings.

Connect Group Leaders
Connect groups are short term groups to help people to get connected in to the life of our church. Our next round will start late September and run for 6-8 weeks. From here, our prayer is that participants choose to form a small group together or get fed into another existing one.

in the Community
We are called to love God and love others, so individuals and Connect Groups are also encouraged to Bless This Borough. Join our Community Action Team, fill a bag for A Simple Gesture or click on one of the links below for other places to serve in the community.
