Elder-Led Prayer Gathering
Praying Together Before Fall Pulls Us Apart
Fall is about to break over all of us, and with it a million things pulling in a million directions. School, sports, work, the calendar filling back up. And here at New Story it's a big season too: real questions about staffing, growth, multiplication, what the next decade looks like. Different lists, same tug. So before it all picks up speed, we want to set the many down and seek the One — together. Every evening this week the Elders are opening the building for 30 minutes to sit at the feet of Jesus and practice what we've been learning all series. Come one night or every night. Just show up.
Mon - Sat, Sept 7-12, 7-7:30pm in the Adult Classroom

Next Steps Weekend
You were made for more than busyness, burnout, or just getting by.
Next Steps Weekend is designed to help you slow down, reconnect with what matters, and discover who you are in God's story. This weekend, we'll explore the anatomy of your soul, the stories that have shaped you, the habits that are forming you, and the relationships that can help you become more like Jesus.
This isn't a passive conference. It's more like a workshop. Each session is about half teaching and half discussion—processing, reflecting, and applying what we're learning in real time. There will be space for you to process things with God & with others.
Whether you're new to New Story or you've been here for years, this weekend is a chance to get clarity on your next step toward a deeper, more grounded life with Jesus.
Who is this for?
Anyone new to New Story Church
Anyone who wants to go further in their walk with God
Anyone looking to become a member of New Story Church
Leaders who want to know this content inside and out
Note: This is a prerequisite for membership at New Story Church. It is offered again as a five-week course on Monday nights starting Nov 2.

The Community Practice
Interested in joining a Life Group? Join us for the Community Practice.
In a lonely, fractured culture, Jesus offers a new kind of family. Despite the unprecedented connectivity of the modern era, genuine community is vanishing. Isolation, transience, and superficiality can sabotage our formation into people of mature love. But through Jesus, we enter a new kind of family that offers intimacy, joy, healing, and commitment.
Over 5 weeks, we'll learn what it looks like to live in the kind of community that is committed to deep life transformation as we...
Build rhythms of intentional connection with others
Create safe spaces in which to share our joys and sorrows
Confess our brokenness and begin healing
Develop committed relationships that grow in mature love
Join us on either Monday nights from 6-8 pm beginning Sept 28 (dinner provided and childcare available) OR Sunday mornings from 10:30-noon beginning on Sept 27 (Kids Ministry available through middle school).
Girls Club
Girls entering 2nd or 3rd grade or 4th or 5th grade are invited to a fun, engaging bible study small group. Our goals with Girls Club are to build community and friendships, encourage our daughters to go deeper in their walk with Jesus, and anchor our daughters in Biblical truth and in the church as a safe place they can come to with their worries and questions.
Running on Monday nights from 6-8pm starting Sept 28. Dinner is included!
Boys Club
Lionhearted Boys Club is a space where 1st-5th grade boys discover and live out their God-given identity through adventure, brotherhood (friendships) and hands-on experiences. Boys will be free to be fully themselves, supported and empowered to grow in their faith and to explore their purpose with courage.
Running on Monday nights from 6-8pm starting Sept 28. Dinner is included.
Alpha
Join us on Monday evenings at 6pm, starting Sept 28. Dinner (+ childcare) will be provided.
Alpha is like a dinner party...followed by group conversation where we explore the big questions of life, spirituality, and faith from a Christian lens...all in a laid-back and non-judgmental environment. Each session features a 25-minute film designed to inspire questions and is led by a host who facilitates the conversation around the session's big question. No question is off-limits. You're free to share and ask as much or as little as you like. If you’re curious, skeptical, or just have questions, bring them to Alpha and explore them with new friends!

This month, Pastor Greg Navitsky joins us to share Ronald Rolheiser’s idea of “giving your death away.” In his book, Rolheiser accompanies you through your final years and the mellowing of your soul, where bitterness gives way to forgiveness, optimism to virtuous hope, and control to surrender. You’ll see Jesus’ model of holy passivity and find in Him the courage to overcome the darkest nights of faith.

Men's Retreat
Life moves fast. Between work, family, responsibilities, and constant distractions, it's easy to lose sight of what matters most.
At New Story, we place a high value on slowing down to allow God to disrupt your busy and distracted life. When we intentionally step away from our routines and the noise of life, we create room to pay attention to what he is up to, in both our own souls and the lives of those around us.
That's why we'd love for you to join us for our annual Men's Retreat, a weekend of fun, friendship, and formation. We'll enjoy great food, plenty of downtime, and all the camp has to offer, including basketball, volleyball, boating, fishing, a game room, and more. Our sessions and small groups will help you connect with one another and grow in your awareness of who you are and who God is.
Whether you're feeling spiritually refreshed or running on empty, this weekend is an opportunity to step away, reconnect with God, and return home renewed.
