About New Story Kids

We want your kids to love coming to church! Our goal is to provide Biblical, Gospel-centered content through fun and age appropriate lessons so that your kids leave our classrooms knowing and loving Jesus more. Our classes and programs are taught and led by fully cleared and trained volunteers who have years of experience working with kids. Our programs encourage kids to build friendships with one another, live out their faith, and we strive to equip and support parents as they disciple their children (Deut. 6:4-9)

Sundays

1. Plan Your Visit

We have kids ministry available during both our 9am & 10:45am services. We love it when you plan your visit so we can expedite the process on Sunday morning and focus on getting to know you.

2. Check In

If you are a first time visitor, come see us at our Check In Desk. We’ll get you registered, give you a fun welcome bag, and walk you to your child’s classroom.

3. Our Classes

We have age-appropriate classes for newborns up to 5th grade. Our teachers are fully-cleared and trained volunteers who love working with kids, and make the lessons fun and engaging.

What to expect

on Sunday mornings

at New Story Kids

  • 0-18 months

Our littlest ones enjoy playtime, music, and Gerber puffs for a yummy snack time. They follow the "See What God Made" curriculum by Discipleland.

  • 18 months - 3 years

Our toddlers enjoy playtime, music, Rice Chex for snack time, and a bible story and lesson from the curriculum, "Look Who God Is" by Discipleland.

  • 3 - 5 years

Preschoolers enjoy a structured playtime, singing, crafts, Rice Chex and water for snack time, and a bible story and lesson which includes engaging felt characters for a visual and hands-on experience from "He Established a Testimony" from Truth78. Children in this class have a weekly memory verse and go home with a parent take-home sheet so you can engage with your children about what they learned during the week!

  • These kiddos enjoy a structured playtime, crafts, Rice Chex and water for snack time, and a bible story and lesson which includes engaging felt characters for a visual and hands on experience from "He Established a Testimony" from Truth78. Kids in this class have a weekly memory verse and go home with a parent take home sheet so you can engage with your children about what they learned at home!

  • Junior elementary students engage with a Gospel-centered lesson from "The Gospel Project for Kids" from Lifeway, which goes through the entire Bible chronologically. Lessons include movement activities, a short bible video with corresponding lessons taught by a trained volunteer, along with crafts and games.

  • Upper elementary students engage in age appropriate discussions and lessons from the "New City Catechism" curriculum which focuses on core doctrine of the Christian faith.

  • When your kids are checked in, they will receive a printed name tag with a corresponding security code. Parents will use their security code to pick up kids at the end of class. If we need to page a parent for any reason during the service, your child's security code will appear on the bottom of the TV screens in the sanctuary. Kids will not be released to anyone who cannot provide their security code -- if a parent loses their security code they can speak with our Kid's Ministry Director at the check in desk.

All of our volunteers are fully cleared to work with children - they have cleared their PA Child Abuse Clearances, PA State Police Background Checks, and FBI Background Checks. Our kid's hallway is monitored by our volunteer safety team throughout the service.

Club 316

Club 316 2024 has officially wrapped! We had a blast (and hope your kids did too)!

We cannot wait for next year! Enjoy a few highlights from this summer.

Take advantage of our FREE Lending Library!

We have a growing catalogue of over 350 books available including board books, picture books, novels, devotionals, biographies, reference books, and parenting books. The majority of the books are aimed at children and their parents, but our library continues to expand each month; our general adult section has just been added and already has a great selection!

How It Works:

  • 1. Browse

    Browse our catalog of books.

    1. At church (located at the back of the sanctuary). Our library hours are

    • Wednesday 9am-12pm

    • Thursday 2-5pm

    • Sunday 9am-12:30pm

    2. Online. You can also view our entire catalog ONLINE and even place a hold on any available books (or be first in line when a borrowed book is returned)

  • 2. Borrow

Borrow books using our Self Check Out system.

If you have placed a hold, you will be emailed as soon as the book you requested has been returned and is available for pick up.

  • 3. Return

All books are due back 3 weeks after checkout. We do not have late fees or fines but are trusting that you will return the books on time, and in good condition so others can enjoy. Of course, we understand that things happen, so, if a book is damaged in any way, please let us know.

Please return borrowed books to our lock boxes (situated in the library area + at the New Story Kids Check In Desk).

  • Questions?

    Our librarian can help!

If you have any questions (or new book suggestions), our librarian, Mark Brown, is available on Sundays or you can email library@newstorychurch.life.
