Serve Our Church

One of the best ways of getting connected and plugged in at New Story Church is to join a serving team. It takes the whole village to make happen what we do week in and week out - and we'd love to have you on our team!

We believe God gifted each us to serve. Here are some of our current needs.

Sunday Mornings.

Sunday Mornings.

  • We offer Sunday School at both of our services. Our volunteers love on our kids, keep them safe and teach them about Jesus. No bible degree required, just a heart for kids.

    Questions? Contact Betsey.

  • We need volunteers to teach Sunday School to Middle Schoolers on Sunday mornings at the 10:45am service. We are also looking for volunteers for our Middle School and High School youth groups that meet at various times during the week.

Questions or want more info? Contact Erik.

  • The Welcome Team helps create a friendly and inviting environment each Sunday. If you like to make people feel welcome at New Story, this is the team for you!

Questions or want more info? Contact Lillian

  • The Coffee Team gets people ready to worship and socialize on a Sunday morning. They ensure the coffee is hot and fresh before each service. If you like to serve from behind the scenes, this is the team for you.

Questions or more info? Contact Lauren.

  • Our Safety Team ensures our kids are safe and the building is secure during Sunday morning services. These volunteers wander the halls during the service, providing peace of mind so everyone can worship in freedom.

  • This team sets up the lights, sound, video, slides and stage to help Sunday mornings look and sound its best every week.

  • We want to train and encourage emerging leaders to lead a small group.

If you are interested, contact David.

  • Lamplighters is a monthly luncheon and program for over 55’s that happens on the 3rd Thursday of the month, during the school year. This ministry is looking for volunteers to help serve on these Thursday mornings.

In The Community.

In The Community.

We love the Borough of Phoenixville & want to be a blessing to all of our neighbors, whether they attend New Story Church or not.

  • We partner with PACS (Phoenixville Area Community Services) to help keep their shelves stocked with food, cleaning supplies and toiletries so they can distribute it to those in need. Sign up for a green bag, fill it with groceries every other month and then leave it at your front door for our team of drivers to collect and deliver to PACS.

Register to fill a green bag HERE. To register to be a driver, contact Brad Peterson.

  • We have been involved in this initiative to support local families for over 5 years. Involvement can be as simple as providing a meal or diapers, right up to helping with childcare and fostering.

We practice "biblical hospitality" by opening our homes to children, offering them a safe, temporary place while their parent(s) cope with issues like illness, unemployment, homelessness, addiction, domestic violence or other crisis.

By extending hospitality to children in crisis, our homes become a "safe place" and we temporarily become their "safe family."

For more information about volunteering for Safe Families contact Courtney Boyer

  • Join the CAT team to serve our neighbors & meet the needs of our local community. You might be called upon to mow a lawn, do a small handyman project, deliver a meal, drive someone to an appointment, do a load of laundry or other odd jobs. Perfect for people who have flexibility in their schedule and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty.

Contact Skip Galanes for more details.

  • We host an After School Bible Club at Schuylkill Elementary School each Tuesday, 3:30-4:45pm, during the school year.

We have been hosting this bible club for the past 9 years and we’ve had a great relationship with the school and administration.

Volunteers are needed to teach and/or interact with the students (1st – 5th grades).

You do not have to commit to every Tuesday.

Please contact Michelle Davis if interested.
